Werner, Edward Adolph
Passed away suddenly February 10, 2004 while enjoying vacation in the Dominican Republic in his 62nd year.
He was the beloved husband for 37 years as well as best friend and soulmate of Mary Ellen (Hegler), and the loving father of two sons, Garth and Derek. Predeceased by his father, Adolph (1999) and mother Tillie (Kreger) (1969), he is survived by his sisters, Virginia ‘Ginny’ (Lief) and Carol (Robinson), both of Atikokan, Ontario, Joan (Ward) of Fort Frances, Ontario, Sylvia (Coulombe) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A retired CWO with roots in both the Air Force and Navy, he will always be remembered for his full and active life, whether on the ski hills, curling rinks, hockey arenas, ball diamonds, backyard gardens, or in the great outdoors. He was well-known for his big smile, hearty laugh and ever ready helping hand.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the 888 RCAF Wing, 1298 Military Row in Comox at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 3rd.
