Edith Irene Martin passed away peacefully on January 21, 2005 in Prince George, BC.

Edith is predeceased by her loving husband Orval David Martin. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Gunn of Prince George and son David (Robyn) Martin of Lethbridge. Others left to remember her are grandchildren Jocelyn (Joe) Disher of Chetwynd BC, Jim (Carolina) Gunn of Prince George, Scott Martin of Calgary and Christine Martin also of Calgary. Great-grandchildren include Jesse, Kody, Tyler, Jade, Jamison and Jlluviah. Edith is also survived by sisters-in-law Pearl Martin of Kindersley, Saskatchewan and Velma Tripp of Provost, AB.

Edith was born in Calgary where she lived, worked and met her husband Orval. Together they raised a family and became deeply involved with the Square Dancers of Calgary and area.

In 1980 Edith and Orval retired and moved to Comox, BC where they continued to be active with the square dancing in the area for many years. They were a much loved and respected couple and will be greatly missed.
