Horton, Dr. Thomas Bevan
April 21, 1935 - January 8, 2005
It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Bevan Horton, beloved husband, father, grandfather, physician and friend. Called home to be with the Savior he loved Saturday, January 8th, 2005. Left to miss him always are his wife Meg and his four children who brought him so much joy: Wendy (Jurgen) Schulz, Julia (Brian) Jarvis, Tim (Julie) Horton, and Jenny Horton. His 8 grandchildren who kept him young and active: Celina, Jonathon, Caleb, Steven and Elisa in Bolivia and Taylan, Lyndon and Brianna in Victoria. Survived by his brothers Don and Oswald and his sisters Emma, Lorraine and Nonie and their spouces and their families. We would like to thank the ambulance attendants and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their kind support and dedication through this difficult time. We also would like to thank all our friends and family who have called or dropped by to let us know what Dad meant to them as it has made this difficult transition a little easier by reminding us of how Dad’s life had impacted others for good.
Dad’s desire in life was to know Christ and to make Him known. In lieu of flowers Dad would appreciate donations to The Gideons for Bibles or gifts to the Missionary Service Committee for the work in Bolivia be made in his memory.
There will be a Memorial Service this Friday, January 14th at 7:00 pm at the Comox Pentecostal Church, 1919 Guthrie Road, Comox, BC.
