Passed away peacefully on October 1st, 2005 at Glacier View Lodge, Courtenay, B.C.


Dorothy was born in Vancouver on April 3rd, 1925 and she attended Bayview Elementary and Kitsilano High Schools. She earned her B.A. from U.B.C. and Knox College, Toronto as Deaconess. Her M.A. with Honours was earned from San Anselmo Seminary, California. Dorothy was employed as Regional Secretary for the Presbyterian Church Synods of Saskatchewan, Ontario and Manitoba until her retirement.


Dorothy is lovingly remembered by sisters Edith McLeod (Bill), Kathleen Dick, brother Laurie (Linda), sister-in-law Katharine Keller, nieces Julia Berry (Ken) and Vickie McLeod, nephews Douglas Keller and Bruce McLeod (Betty) and families and her many friends. Dorothy was devoted to her family, always proud of their accomplishments. They meant everything to her.


Dorothy was a Charter Member and 10 year Volunteer of Richmond Gateway Theatre, she was a pre-school teacher in Richmond, B.C. for many years. Her last five years were spent in Comox, B.C. living with her sister Kay and enjoying friends in the Presbyterian Church, the Alpha Beta Phi Sorority (50 year member), curling and golf.


Dorothy will forever be in our thoughts and memories of her many talents, generosity and gentleness.


A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at 2:30pm at Comox Valley Presbyterian Church, 725 Aspen Road, Comox, B.C. V9M 4E9.


A private family interment service will be held later at Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver, B.C.


In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Comox Valley Presbyterian Church, Memorial Fund at the address above, or a charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.
