In loving memory ~

It is with full hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Annetta Branch (nee Green) on November 26, 2024, at the age of 93. Dorothy was born on May 21, 1931, in East End, Saskatchewan, one of eight children.

In 1948, Dorothy married the love of her life, Bill Branch in Orillia, Ontario. Together, they raised a wonderful family, including their four children: Randy, Carol, Robby, and Tracy. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill in 2008, as well as her sons Randy and Robby, and her siblings, Dolly, Anne and Ronnie. Despite these losses, Dorothy's love for her family was unwavering, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Dorothy was known for her sharp wit, infectious sense of humor, and a spirit that brightened any room. She found great joy in playing bridge, a game that connected her to many dear friends at home and away. She was also famous for her delicious apple pies, a comforting treat that will forever be cherished by those lucky enough to have tasted them. A skilled knitter, Dorothy created countless handmade pieces that will be passed down through the generations.

Above all, Dorothy was a devoted, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her kindness, love and generosity will be deeply missed by her daughter Carol, her son, Tracy, her daughter-in-law, Kathy, her siblings Wayne, Milton, Sally and Eleanor, and her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

A special thanks to Corrie from Comox Valley Hospice Society for her comforting presence and support, and to all the staff on floor 3-D at the Comox Valley Hospital for their care and devotion. They are special people.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations in memory of Dorothy be made to either the Comox Valley Hospice Society or the Comox Valley Children's Choir, as music has always played an important role in the Branch family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Piercy's - Mt Washington Funeral Home. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held in the spring of 2025. A gathering will be announced closer to the date.
