It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Don, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s. He died peacefully at the age of 85, at St. Joseph’s ECU.
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)
Very special thanks to the many dedicated and loving staff, and the residents of Eagle View. “Papa” couldn’t have been in a better place. Thanks also to Dr. Stephen Matous for his care and concern.
Don will be lovingly remembered by Marian, devoted wife of 60 years; son Neil (Pauline) Frazer (Hawaii), daughter Lynn (Paul) Hamilton (Courtenay); 5 grandchildren: Aaron (Alison) Hamilton (Nanaimo), Anjali Hamilton (Langley), Justin, Mark, Breton Frazer (Hawaii); 2 great grandchildren Isaac and Annika Hamilton (Nanaimo); brother Harold (Della) Frazer and sister Jean (Jim) Riddock (Edmonton), as well as extended family, faithful friends and neighbors…and last but not least, Patches, faithful pet and caring companion.
Don was predeceased by: his parents Frank and Florence of Edmonton, brothers: Charles (Bert) of Courtenay and Eric (Phylis still living) of Victoria, and sister Kay (Dick) Cosser of Vancouver.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers; the family would appreciate donations being made to the Salvation Army. Arrangements have been entrusted to Piercy’s - Mt. Washington Funeral Home, Courtenay, BC.
