Grant, Dolores
Dec 17, 1929 - Dec 28, 2004
We mourn the passing of another pillar in our family. A wonderful mother, grandmother
& great-grandmother. Dolores passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a real trooper right to the end.
Mom was an avid sewer and knitter, from clothes to quilts (for great granddaughters). She did it all and did it perfectly as there was no other way. She also enjoyed her flower gardens in the summer.
Dolores was predeceased by husband Erwin, December 19, 1999; she is survived by daughter Gail (Moe) Williams; granddaughter Kelly (Dave) Crisp; grandsons: Rod (Carrie) and Scott Williams; 6 great-grandchildren: Jamie, Lucas, Jordan, Cassidy Crisp , Braydon and Rhianne Williams; one sister Helen MacGregor, Ch’town, PEI; and many other brothers & sisters-in-law, nieces & nephews.
The family would like to thank the many doctors for their care over the duration of mom’s illness. Special thanks to the nurses on 3rd floor of St. Joseph’s for their compassionate care and kindness to all of us. To Fran for being there when needed, to Home Support Workers, Home Care Nurses and Hospice Society. To my family - I am so proud of each and everyone of you for making mom’s last months so special. To CVFD, family and friends for the beautiful flower arrangements.
Piercy’s in charge of Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society.
Another light is from our household gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our homes
That never will be filled
Some may think you are gone
Though on earth you are no more
But in our hearts you are still with us
As you always were before.
We love you Nana!
Till we meet again.
