In loving memory ~

Deborah Katherine Adams passed away on Friday, June 28th after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Edmonton, Alberta to a military family and pre-deceased by parents Wilf and Jean Adams.

Debbie and her family, Rick and Gil, moved to the Comox Valley in 2006 from Maple Ridge. She taught at Highland, Vanier and Isfeld schools, and retired in 2019 due to illness after a short stint at NIDES. With family and friends, Debbie loved exploring the outdoors. Road cycling year-round with Rick, and kayaking trips to the West Coast were summer highlights. While X-country skiing and the Loppett were features of wintertime.

Rehabilitation from a skiing injury, lead to trail running with ELM. This, in turn, lead to racing MOMAR several times and was the beginning of Deb's passion for mountain biking. She leaves behind her loving husband Rick, son Gil Goletski, sister Susan and brother-in-law Colin Stevenson. Her determination, smile and sense of humour will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the team at Palliative Care for their care and compassion and the Cancer Care team at North Island Comox Valley Hospital.

No flowers please, donations to the Ovarian Cancer Society or the United Riders of Cumberland (UROC) are appreciated.
