Martin, David Ness

Passed away peacefully on Monday 23 May 2005 at the St Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, B.C. Born in Aberlady, Scotland, on 10 March 1923, he served in the British Army Royal Artillery Regiment in Burma during WWII He immigrated to Canada in 1953 and further served in the RCAF. He is survived by his wife Betty, and two children Elizabeth and David and their spouses Marie-Christine and Nelson. He is further survived by seven grand children Thomas, Matthew and Rachel residing in Voiron, France; and Andrew, Marty, Annie and Ole residing in Jakarta, Indonesia. The family was particularly thankful for the commitment and professionalism of the St Joseph’s third floor staff, members of the Hospice Society and Gordon Carter, the hospital pastor. Any donations to the David Martin Palliative Care Unit Fund established through the St Joseph’s Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
