Nichol, David Harvey
September 1940 - April 2002
On April 3, after a 3-year battle of cancer. David passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his wife and family. David grew up in Pugwash, Nova Scotia, and he is predeceased by his mother Doreen, father Bob, and his brothers, Roland and Robert.
David was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Emilie; sons: David (Leslie) of Edmonton, Mark (Gillian), Bruce (Judy); and grandchildren: Lindsay, Tamara, Allan, Shelby, Hayden, Ken, and Derek. We will deeply and sadly miss him and will forever cherish his memories.
David’s 29-year military career began in 1958 with the Canadian Air Force and carried his family across North America until 1987 when he retired as Warrant Officer in the Comox Valley. He spent the twelve years that followed as an Investment Advisor.
David loved the outdoors: fishing, camping, boating, golfing and woodworking were just a few of his pastimes. He was a strong man, always willing to share his time, expertise and kindness with others. David will be sorrowfully missed by all that knew him.

A Celebration of his life will be held Thursday, April 11th from 12 - 3 pm at the Native Sons Hall in Courtenay. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice and will be gratefully appreciated.
