McMahon - Dava Lynne, aged 50, of Courtenay, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family at her home on Wednesday, December 11, 2002. Predeceased by her father, David N. Gray in November of 1962, Dava is survived by her husband Daniel McMahon; daughters: Kristy (Jason) O’Neill and Danielle McMahon, both of Courtenay; sister Donna Hernblad; niece Jenna, nephew David, and her mother Betty Gray, all of Chilliwack. She was a Food Services Technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 11 years, was a Diabetic Day Care Clerk and A Lancombe Representative at CFB Lahr. Dava was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Comox Valley Special Olympics organization. She loved the outdoors, especially cross country skiing, snow- shoeing, swimming, biking and hiking. At home, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, working on crafts, her garden and photography. Prayers were offered on Friday, December 13th from the CHAPEL OF COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD, followed by Mass of Christian Burial of Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, CFB Comox on Saturday, December 14th, celebrated by Fathers John Edmonds, Marc Parent and Joe Killoran.
