In loving memory ~

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our husband and father, Daniele Campanella on September 10, 2024.

He will be missed by his wife Maria, his son Daniele (Nadyne) and daughter Jessica (Korey), his grandchildren, Enzo, Mila, Kali and Raya. His mother Ana Campanella and his brothers, Claudio, Roberto and Joseph as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dan was predeceased by his father Calogero and brother Aurelio.

Dan was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and later him and his family moved to Alberta. That's where he met his wife and followed his passion and love of cooking to obtain his Red Seal Chef. He worked as a chef for many years and then ultimately opened his own restaurant, The Soup & Sandwich Shack in 1995. He successfully ran the Shack until 2012 when him and his wife sold shop and retired to the Comox Valley. That's when he discovered his love for creating one of a kind furniture pieces out of spare wood.

He also helped his son open his own successful business here in the Valley, DN Auto Corp, which kept him busy until his illness took over.

Those who were fortunate to have met Dan were sure to leave with a smile on their face or laughing at his easy going, light hearted sense of humour. He would also be sure everyone had a belly full of delicious food he was creating and cooking in his kitchen!

Dan's family would like to express their heart felt gratitude to the staff at the Comox Wellness Center and the Royal Jubilee Cancer Clinic.

A private gathering in his honour will be held at a later date.
