On Friday, November 15, 2002, Tony White of Comox, BC passed away after an extended illness at the age of 77.

He is survived by Ellenor, his loving wife and companion of 50 years, his two sons, Jamie (Joan) and David (Ann) and his three grandchildren, Shannon, Ian and Kevin. Tony was predeceased by his infant grandchild, Christopher.

Tony served his country for 34 years as a member of the RCAF from 1942 - 1976, and was engaged in combat with the Burma Bomber Squadron during WWII. Following his retirement, he spent countless hours volunteering in the communities of Gabriola Island and Comox-Courtenay. He will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 2:00 PM from Comox United Church, 250 Beach Avenue, Comox, with the Reverend Maggie Enwright presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 102 - 1509 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, B.C. V9N 2K6. or to a charity of choice.
