was born in Tampico, Mexico on April 28, 1931. His family moved back to England in 1939. The lure of the prairies and the Great White North compelled Clive to immigrate to Canada in 1954 and after many adventures he met the love of his life Maureen and settled down to raise a family in 1959. He moved with his family to Grande Prairie, AB in 1970 where he lived for 27 years, 20 of which he worked for Canfor. Clive was a founding member of the Grande Prairie Cross Country Ski and Biathlon clubs. Clive was a charter member of the Historic Canoe Society in Saskatchewan and a biathlon official in the 1988 Olympics. Clive and Maureen moved to Comox, BC in 1997 where he enjoyed a wonderful retirement. His passions were canoeing, prospecting, cross country skiing, cricket and his wife Maureen. He passed away in his sleep October 29, 2005 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by his father, Edward Bryan Lodge in 1975. Clive is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Maureen, his three children: Elizabeth Grotkowski (Jim), Susan Wiens (Ken) and Rosemary Lodge(Glen), his six grandchildren: Derek, Michelle, Joel, Gillian, Elena and Genevieve, his mother Hilda Lodge and brother Cedric Lodge, aunts Eileen Jensen, Honore Gustin, and cousins Rosemary and Lesley in England, cousins Ginny, and John Duigan in Australia, and numerous friends near and far. A Memorial Service will be held at The Living Word Reformed Episcopal Church, 4778 N Island Highway, Comox at 1:30 pm, Thursday, November 3, 2005. Arrangements entrusted to Comox Valley Funeral Home, 1101 Ryan Road.
