Regehr, Clifford
1928 - 2002
Cliff Regehr died, as he had lived, gently and quietly, on the last day of the year, at home.
Cliff is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donalda, four children, John (Zan), Beth (Gary), David (Donna) and Daniel (Heather), and six grandchildren: Kate, Ben, Jake, Joel, Erica and Samantha. He was born in Steinbach, Manitoba and graduated from the University of Manitoba where he met Donalda. He went into business, eventually developing and managing properties from Thompson, Manitoba to Vancouver Island.
He enjoyed his years in Courtenay Rotary Club and was made an honorary member last year.
Friends of Cliff will always remember his passion for making music, especially on the piano. He played many a gig with friends. He was always involved in the Unitarian Church from Winnipeg to West Vancouver to the Comox Valley and produced a CD of hymns for small congregations that were bought by small churches and fellowships all over this continent and England.
The Regehr family wish to express their gratitude for the outstanding care given Cliff in the last few years. To the Ambulance Service, St. Joseph’s Emergency Department staff and those doctors and nurses who gave him wonderful care when in hospital: thank you. Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospital would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Comox Valley Funeral Home on Ryan Road, January 10 at 11:00 a.m. Unitarian Chaplain, Debra Faulk, will officiate. Refreshments follow.
