June 26, 1939 - September 27, 2023
In Loving Memory ~
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clifford Nolan Ray (CNR) Beck, on September 27, 2023. Cliff was surrounded by the love of his family with his wife, Dolly, and granddaughter, Kim, by his side.
Cliff, born June 26, 1939, was the second of identical twins, the other being Charles Norman Roy (CNR) Beck, born on a Canadian National Railway track speeder cart just before Hudson Bay Junction (Bertwell), Saskatchewan. Charlie and Cliff were the 4th & 5th additions to the family of Albert and Paulina Beck.
Adventure and mischief were common dominators in Cliff & Charlie's daily lives; from switching dates to igniting the boys' bathroom at the high school and playing tricks on each other's kids. Cliff left home to begin a successful enlistment with the Royal Canadian Air Force. His love of planes and flying kept him in the aviation industry, where he continued to excel.
Cliff loved curling, dancing, golfing, helping his family and friends and travelling. Mostly he loved his family, friends, and animals. In 2006, Cliff married his best friend, Dolly, they were able to enjoy many years travelling to visit family and friends.
Cliff was predeceased by his father Albert Beck, mother Paulina Beck, brothers William "Bill" Beck and Charles (Charlie) Beck and sisters Kathy Weber and Marie Beck.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Dolly (Gladys), and children, Cristy, Paula, and Bob (Michelle), and grandchildren Kimberly, Nick, Megan, Connor, and Quinn
Thank you to Dr. Patricia Johnson and EVERYONE at Cumberland Lodge for loving and taking care of Cliff. The family could not have asked for more loving and supportive people than each of you.
The twins (Cliff and Charlie) are to be recognized and celebrated at a Poppy Service to be held at 1 PM, on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Courtenay Legion Branch 17, 367 Cliffe Ave, Courtenay, BC. Enter up the ramp at the rear of the building.
