It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Garfield, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who left us on August 22nd 2024 at the age of 74 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Garfield was a pillar of strength, wisdom and kindness, whose life was a testament to love, hard work and devotion to his family.

Garfield is survived by his Wife Lynne of 54 years; Children Cheryl, Susan (Colin Sharpe), Michael (Andrea); Grandchildren Ocean (Corey Scott), Lachlan; Siblings Wilson (Ann) Joyce (Late Brian Davis), Ellen Jane (Mike Delaney), Brenda (Arnold Yach) and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was predeceased by his Parents Garfield & Fern Boyd (nee Wilson)

Everyone knows Garfield was the most charismatic and caring person, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. In his spare time, he found joy in tending to his gardens and cherished the annual hunting trips with family. Rest in peace, Garfield. Your legacy of love and kindness will live forever in our hearts and in the countless lives you've touched. You will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved you.

Our sincere thanks to Dr. R Darryl MacLeod for all his care and compassion for Garfield and family. A celebration of life was held on Aug 29th, at the Comox Valley Funeral Home.
