In loving memory ~
Catherine passed away peacefully with her family by her side. A woman of grace and dignity, she was born in Nova Scotia and took great pride in her Scottish heritage. With a warm heart and a genuine interest in others, Catherine formed many cherished friendships throughout her life.
After a fulfilling 25-year career in office management, she dedicated her time to helping others as a Senior Peer Counselor and a volunteer with the Friendly Visitor program.
Catherine will be dearly missed by her daughters, Sandie (David), Elizabeth (Chris), Beverley (Tom), and Christina; her nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carl.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Couetzee and Dr. Daws for their compassionate care, as well as to the recreation, nursing, and support staff of the Sandpiper Unit at Oceanfront Village. Your kindness and dedication meant the world to our mother鈥攕he considered you all her second family.
As per Catherine's wishes, no service will be held. Those who wish to honour her memory may consider a donation to the Comox Valley SPCA.
