Bob Crouch

Crouch - Bob, passed away at St. Joseph’s hospital on Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at the proud age of 89 years. His loving wife Betty predeceased him in February of 2000. He is survived by, son Bob and daughter-in-law Ulla, daughter Evelyn and son-in-law Robert Kyle, six grandchildren: Dale, Geoffrey, Bruce, Bonnie, Heather and Scott, and ten great grandchildren: Robert, Carolyn, James, Stefani, Nicole, Kayli, Cassandra, Liam, Holly and Samantha and by sister Nancy Smith of Great Britain.

Bob was born June 9, 1913 in Long Cross, Surrey, England. Following 5 years of active service in France and Belgium with the British Army he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1948.Bob served 35 years as a professional scouter, commissioner and executive with the Boy Scouts of Canada, retiring in Ottawa in 1976. With Betty his subsequent years were spent happily gardening, initially in Ontario and for the last few years in the beautiful Comox Valley. Bob’s life will be remembered at a small gathering of family and friends at Stevenson Place from 2 to 3 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2003.

The family would, at this time like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Potter-Cogan and his associates, to the very dedicated nurses and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and to the very kind and caring people at Stevenson Place who have made his last few years so pleasant.
