Barbara Ann, aged 60, of Cumberland, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Tuesday, November 18th, 2003. Born in Comox on November 15th, 1943, Barb was predeceased by her parents Emil and Eleanor Kreeger and her first husband Lawrence Bomback. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband Clarence Stockand; sons: Dale (Marlene) of Alberta and Ron of Cumberland; daughter Jeanette (Chuck) of Alberta; step-children: Coleen (Bob) Susan (Dale), Lynn (Jim), all of Courtenay; grandchildren: Stanley, Katrina, Aaron and Dustin; Clarence’s grandchildren and great grandson; her brothers: Jerry (Vimy) of Campbell River, Len (Cheryl) of Black Creek, and Wayne (Lynne) of Black Creek; sister Shirley (Leo) of Courtenay; and numerous nieces and nephews. Barb was a member of TOPS, the Senior’s Club and the OAP Club and worked for many years at Marrocchi’s in Cumberland. In her leisure she enjoyed playing cards, knitting, cooking, and fishing, while staying at the cabin on Comox Lake. A celebration of Barb’s life took place on Sunday, November 23rd from Centennial Square in Cumberland. For those wishing, donations in her memory to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
