Kolzig, Axel Wolf
Axel Wolf of Union Bay, passed away suddenly at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, April 17th, 2006. Predeceased by his father Heinz, he is survived by his loving wife Renate; sons Olie (Christin) of Kennewich, Washington and Bjorn of Comox; grandson Carson and grandddaughters Kendall and Ashlyn. Axel is survived as well by his brothers Voker and Ralph (Petra), niece Sarah and his mother Elfriede, all in Germany. He was a well-known resident of Union Bay, serving as a volunteer firefighter, on the Board of Directors of the Credit Union and as minor hockey coach. Axel was a big hockey fan, who loved spending leisure time with his grandchildren and his dogs. A Service of Remembrance will take place from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD on Saturday, April 22nd at 11:00 am, followed by fellowship and refreshments at Union Bay Hall, beginning at 2:00pm.
