In Loving Memory ~

With great sadness, heavy broken hearts Amy left us June 3rd, 2024. Amy was born in Cumberland B.C. on November 8th, 1972.

She is predeceased by both paternal and maternal grandparents.

Amy is survived by her ever loving parents mother Gloria Zimmer, Father Chris Zimmer, stepmother Rosemary, sister Sarah (Dwayne), half-sisters Emily, Shauna, half-brother Patrick (Michelle), daughter Brittany, grandson Chester and granddaughter Shayah whom she adored and many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Amy was a free spirit especially in younger years where she was always up for an adventure as she travelled all over country, working in Whistler spending summers in Okanagan and later settling back in Courtenay.

Amy has had hardships most notably her accident in 2008 when she was hit by a car on a crosswalk where she suffered from head trauma and severe physical damage which required surgeries. She was so brave and stronger than she knew as she struggled with pain for too long. She always had a smile and trucked along one day at a time.

Amy had a lovely soft soul. She was kind, compassionate, empathetic towards all. She was trusting and made friends easily. Amy was witty and funny and was always up for a good joke, loved all animals, had special pets over years, dog Mister, cats Sapphire and Misty.

Amy was a talented artist, she liked to draw and sketch and was an avid reader. She enjoyed puzzles and favorite games were crib and boggle, loved a good scary movie, true crime books, movies and series. Amy was knowledgeable on quirky facts, as well as trivia which mom will miss Amy beating her at jeopardy regularly.

Will be forever loved and missed, and we all will cherish all the good times with her. We love you, Amy.

Family and friends please join us for a celebration of Amy's life to remember her with stories, favorite snacks and have a cheer in her honor. Please bring lawn chair and Byob. Saturday June 29th, 2024, at our fathers house 4439 Marsden Road, Courtenay B.C. 1-4 pm
