In loving memory ~
Alison passed away peacefully in Comox, British Columbia surrounded by loved ones after a difficult journey with stomach cancer. Alison (Ali to her friends) was born in Portsmouth, England and immigrated to Canada with her Mum and Dad when she was 3 years old. She grew up in Deep Cove, B.C. and spent her earlier years in and around the lower mainland. In 1981, Alison and her family moved to Vancouver Island where they purchased acreage and raised their kids, goats, pigs and horses. Her career aspirations were many; from the Merville Store to ski patrol on Mt. Washington to B.C. Ferries, Ali's lively personality fit them all.
After years in the Comox Valley, Alison followed her passion for travel and desire to explore the world and spent the next 18 years splitting her time between B.C. and Trinidad and Tobago. With a little house on the hill in Charlotteville, Tobago and the many friends that became her extended family, T&T was Ali's home away from home. The personal connections she made there led her on many adventures throughout the Caribbean, Central America and Europe.
Alison leaves behind her children, Clayton (Erica) and Megan (Joel); her grandchildren, Ayla and Lucas; as well as her mother, Brenda; and her siblings, Caroline and Sam and their families. She was predeceased by her father, Paul.
If you wish to make a donation in Alison's name, please consider the Canadian Cancer Society. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
