Aileen Thompson

Thompson - Aileen of Courtenay, formerly of Penticton passed away on the evening of Friday, September 27, 2002 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox.

Predeceased by her husband Rod Thompson; Aileen is survived by her daughter Sharon (Rene) Spence of Penticton and her son Patrick (Lisa) Thompson of Victoria and by her grandchildren Selina, Nicole, Ali, Ashley and Jodi. Also survived by her sisters Shirley (Ken) Cotton of Qualicum Beach and Marge (Don) Lobban of Cobble Hill and by her nieces and nephews.

Aileen retired from her caregiving career in Penticton and moved to the Comox Valley in 1992, where she met many good friends. She was a golfer and played bridge and enjoyed life to the fullest. Special thanks to Dr. Susan Hunter and to Grace and Pat. Aileen will be forever remembered and will continue living through us all.

In loving memory of Aileen a Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, October 6th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 Ryan Road, followed by fellowship and refreshments in the Garden Room and Outdoor Patio of the funeral home.

Donations made in Aileen’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society, Comox Valley Unit, 102-1509 Cliffe Ave., Courtenay, BC, V9N 2K6 would be appreciated.
