Canadian Navigable Waters Act
Taylor Shellfish Canada ULC hereby gives notice that two applications have been made to the Minister of Transport, pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act for approval of the work described herein and its site and plans.
Pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of the said Act, Taylor Shellfish Canada ULC has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the on-line Navigable Waters Registry () under Registry number 5404, and under the NPP File Number 2021-505345 a description of the following work, its site and plans:
Existing tenure and operating intertidal aquaculture facility located in Fanny Bay, approximately at 49° 30’ 2.95” N, 124° 47’ 45.58” W, located on unsurveyed foreshore or land covered by water being part of the bed of Fanny Bay, fronting Blocks 28 and 30, Lot 149, Nanaimo District, in Fanny Bay, in the Province of British Columbia. Portions of this tenure are covered by clam protection netting.
Pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of the said Act, Taylor Shellfish Canada ULC has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the online Navigable Waters Registry () under Registry number 5408, and under the NPP File Number 2007-500001 a description of the following work, its site, and plans:
Existing tenure and operating intertidal aquaculture facility located in Baynes Sound, approximately at 49° 30’ 18 N, 124° 48’ 17 W, located on unsurveyed foreshore or land covered by water being part of the bed of Fanny Bay in Baynes Sound, Block 29 of District Lot 149 and District Lot 2069, Nanaimo District, containing 8.734 hectares, more or less, in the Province of British Columbia. Portions of this tenure are covered by clam protection netting.

Comments will be considered only if they are in writing (electronic means preferable) and are received not later than 30 days after the publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.
