The November storms that battled the Comox Valley this week brought with them some electrifying sights, as witnessed by Ryan Chapman who posted this dashcam video on Facebook.
According to BC Hydro spokesperson Karla Louwers, the sparks were caused by a branch, which hung on a line on Anderton Road.
“The primary conductor dropped down… and caused the flash arc,” she explained.
The outage affected about 2,200 residents for about 50 minutes Monday afternoon.
