A blaze in an abandoned building in the 400-block of Goldstream Avenue pulled crews from three West Shore fire departments early Wednesday morning.

Colwood Fire Rescue responded shortly before 6 a.m. on March 20, alongside their general response peers in View Royal and Langford, and arrived to find flames.

Crews quickly knocked down the fire, said Colwood Fire Chief Bryan Erwin.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries on entry due to a floor issue.

The building was vacant on a lot to be developed. Investigators are investigating the cause.
