Rick Bitten will run for re-election in the upcoming Union Bay Improvement District trustee election.

Rick Bitten:

I have lived in the community of Union Bay since I was a boy and raised my family here. Our family have been here for five generations. We truly care and have a vested interest in what happens in our community. I like the idea of a structured plan instead of small unplanned improvements. Working with a developer allows us to share the costs of our required improvements to our water system. My work experience has put me in charge of strategic capital investments for our equipment and I have to submit detailed business plans for our capital requests. I feel my experience in researching, evaluating, negotiating, implementing, monitoring and completing these projects will make me valuable asset as a trustee.

I was elected in Oct. 2016 to replace one of the three trustees who resigned. My term is up this April and am running for re- election this April. In this short time I have worked very hard to educate myself on the status of UBID requirements, policies and bylaws. At this point I feel I am a valuable part of our board of trustees.
