The 2023 Millionaire Lottery features Courtenay home as a grand prize option

The 2023 Millionaire Lottery launched on Oct. 17 and one of the grand prize homes is located in Courtenay.

The 2,329 sq. ft. Crown Isle residence has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and two garages. The prize package includes a $50,000 design therapy furniture package, a 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 Pro Electric, a 2023 Specialized Vado 3.0 electric bike, a $5,000 Crown Isle clubhouse gift card, a $2,500 Mount Washington gift cards, and $1,1 million cash. Total prize package worth over $2.9 million.

The other grand prize homes are located in South Surrey, Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Langley, Courtenay, West Kelowna, Lake Country, and Sooke.

The grand prize winner can also choose $2.7 million tax-free cash.

Ticket buyers also run the chance of winning one of the numerous subsidiary bonuses.

“There are over 3,000 prizes to be won worth over $3.5 million in this year’s 2023 Millionaire Lottery,” said Todd Talbot, Millionaire Lottery spokesperson.

Lottery tickets are available in various packages: two for $100, five for $175, 10 for $300, and 25 for $600.

The lottery also features extra games, including the 50/50 PLUS lottery with a maximum prize payout of up to $1,200,000, and the Daily Cash PLUS game with 105 days of winning and a total prize value of $325,000.

To encourage early ticket purchases, there will be three bonus draws worth over $107,000 and an early bird draw worth over $200,000. A total of 50 winners will each receive $1,000 in cash, and the early bird draw winner can choose between a 2023 Audi e-tron GT, a private jet travel experience plus $20,000 in cash, or $125,000 in cash.

Tickets are available for purchase until midnight on Jan. 11, 2024, or until they are sold out. All proceeds raised will be directed to the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) and UBC Hospital Foundation, supporting research, the enhancement of specialized adult healthcare, and the acquisition of essential medical equipment.

Since its establishment in 1996, the Millionaire Lottery has raised over $85 million.

VGH plays a crucial role in treating 60 per cent of British Columbia’s adult trauma cases, and 50 per cent of their surgical patients come from outside Vancouver. Each year, Vancouver ̨MM Health serves more than 650,000 residents, visitors, and patients from across British Columbia, performing over 32,000 surgeries and handling more than 115,000 emergency room visits.
