The Canadian Academy of Travel and Tourism (CATT) is an organization that promotes tourism in schools across Canada.

Last week, CATT students at Highland Secondary School received their certificates.

CATT promotes networking with industry and sets standards for students that are recognized throughout the Canadian tourism industry.

It also encourages career research in all areas of tourism and provides opportunities for students to become excited about the industry.

They offer three levels of achievement, one of the qualifications being work experience within the industry. Level One requires a minimum of 25 hours of work experience, while Level Two requires 100 hours and Gold indicates a serious commitment to the industry with 240 hours.

These students at Highland are a dedicated group of individuals who have achieved various levels of certification, including Addie Sturam, who achieved the Gold level.
