Six hospitalized in Island Highway crash

Six people were hospitalized following a Friday crash south of Hamm Road on the Inland Island Highway.

A total of seven vehicles were involved in a Friday crash at around 1 p.m. south of Hamm Road on the Inland Island Highway.

There were a total of 15 patients but no serious injuries, according to the B.C. Ambulance Service.

Six people were transported by ambulance to local hospitals — three to Campbell River and three to St. Joseph's in Comox. All six appeared to have sustained minor injuries though three of the patients required spinal immobilization.
