West Shore RCMP have taped off a house at the corner of Ashbury Avenue and Klahanie Drive on Monday morning (July 22).

RCMP have confirmed with Black Press Media that an altercation started at a house in the area around 10 p.m. on Sunday night.

As an result of the altercation, one person is in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Up from the taped-off house, blood can be seen on the road on Paperback Crescent. It's unknown at this time if it related to the incident.

One resident told a Black Press Media reporter at the scene that the house is "suspicious" and "nobody knows the people who live there." They also added that they've heard yelling from the house before and police are by the house about once a month.

The RCMP are preparing a search warrant for the house.

They have also confirmed there is no risk to the general public.
