A Courtenay woman charged with manslaughter for the death of Allan Charles Whitequill will have her preliminary inquiry March 22 at 9:30 a.m.
Laura Lee Pierre is charged with the death of Whitequill, 54, who died in hospital Dec. 27, 2009 following what police believe was a domestic disturbance at Maple Pool Campsite.
She has served three months at the Endless Possibilities Recovery Centre in Surrey.

The Comox Valley RCMP assisted their Port McNeill counterparts Tuesday during a standoff with a 32-year-old man, which ended when the man was arrested without incident.
The incident started about 11 a.m. when Port McNeill RCMP responded to reports of a man with a rifle in a townhouse complex. Believing the man was armed, police cordoned off the area and evacuated neighbours.
