Members of the Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park Association are invited to the annual general meeting this Saturday in Comox to vote for six board of director positions.The meeting is scheduled at the Lion's Den at 1729 Comox Ave. at 3 p.m.To ensure continuity and a healthy and vibrant organization, succession planning is among the board's most important duties.Recognition of a continuing competency approach will be a priority in the nominations committee's selection of the appropriate candidate slate for board positions to ensure that Filberg requirements are met in all area including governance, finance, maintenance, communications, revenue generation, events and technology.Since director activities are intended to be supplemented by working committees, members having the required competencies and sufficient time, will also be encouraged to submit expressions of interest to assist on Filberg working groups.
