With 210 out 310 polls reporting as of 9:25 p.m., Conservative candidate Aaron Gunn is leading in the North Island-Powell River riding.
While results are beginning to trickle in, Gunn has 12,939, followed by NDP candidate Tanille Johnston with 11,855. Liberal candidate Jennifer Lash has 7,710 votes; Green Party candidate Jessica Wegg 828, followed by People's Party of Canada candidate Paul Macknight with 171 and Independent candidate Glen Staples with 77.
Political pundits have already declared a Liberal Party win in the federal election, with polls from the west still reporting.
