Comox Valley RCMP are investigating a violent home invasion that occurred on Allen Avenue in Cumberland early Monday morning around 2:48.
A neighbour called the police when a badly beaten male banged on their door, covered in blood.
When police arrived and checked the area, they found a back door to a residence that had been forced open. Inside, they found another injured male, who had also been assaulted.
It is believed that there are two and possibly three suspects with the following descriptions:
• Caucasian male, six feet, 170 pounds, wearing a red or rusty-coloured bandana on his head, blue windbreaker and blue jeans;
• Caucasian male, five feet seven inches, stocky build, baggy clothing and grey jacket, possibly missing two bottom front teeth.
There is no description of a third suspect.
One victim was transported to hospital and the other declined. Both victims are known to police and this is not believed to be a random attack.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321, or if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

A 28-year-old Ucluelet man is facing several charges after attempting to evade police in the Comox Valley.
RCMP were responding to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the Duncan Bay Main area on Feb. 9.
Comox Valley RCMP’s rural unit located the vehicle and attempted to pull it over.
The vehicle sped up, going more than twice the speed limit at one point, but was eventually blocked in by two police vehicles on the one-lane Dove Creek bridge.
