Ace Brewing Company keeps collecting the medals.
The Courtenay-based brewery recently won a bronze medal for their Cold IPA in the Specialty IPA category at the Canadian Brewery Awards & Conference (CBAC) in early June.
The CBAC brings together hundreds of brewers and craft beer professionals from breweries across Canada, as well as industry suppliers to share ideas, learn from industry experts and discover the latest innovations in the brewing industry.
The conference - which took place in Halifax - included a gala where the best beers and breweries are recognized; a Canadian Brewing Awards medal is a symbol of Canadian brewing excellence.

This is the fourth Canadian Brewing Award the brewery has received since opening in late 2019.
“Whenever we can receive an award for our beer we are always very honored and also humbled to be recognized in an industry full of exceptional breweries and brewers,” said Ace head brewer Dan Lake in a release. “Canada is a massive country with phenomenal craft breweries in every corner of it. Knowing that our beers compare favourably to our inspiring peers makes us very proud and we don’t take it lightly.”
A total of 35 B.C. breweries took awards home from the event, including some from Victoria, Ucluelet, Sooke, Sidney, Port Alberni and Chemanius.
In 2020, the Ace’s Jet Fuel IPA won a silver medal and in 2021, it took home a bronze. Last year the brewery also won a bronze medal for its Chinook Rye Pale Ale.
