Continuing their support of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Tour de Rock event for this year, Peninsula Co-op Gas Centre in Comox is hosting one of its annual fundraising events.

The gas station, located at 669 Aspen Rd., is hosting a car wash on March 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They are also hosting a hot dog sale by donation with funds going to raise money for childhood cancer research and support services for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock is an annual event where law enforcement and emergency services personnel cycle 14 days and 1,200 km across Vancouver Island raising money for childhood cancer research and support services at the Canadian Cancer Society.

This year, the ride is set for Sept. 21 to Oct. 4, with a goal of raising $1 million.
