My Tech Guys is celebrating 11 years of providing in-home, in-office and in-store service and sales in the Comox Valley.

“I’m truly thankful for the nearly 20,000 customers that have trusted us to look after their technical needs over the past 11 years,” says owner Bob Wells who started My Tech Guys in 2006.

My Tech Guys has had the opportunity to support many of the organizations in the Comox Valley, like helping with the audio visual for YANA, Fish & Game, and community foundation dinners. We also live stream the Child Development Telethon and provide laptops and wifi to Vancouver Island MusicFest and Atmosphere Gathering.

This has been a great year of growth for My Tech Guys. From becoming an iPhone and iPad warranty repair centre for Apple, to raising more than $2,000 for the Cumberland Community Forest Society, plus we’ve hired two new staff (Erica Mercer and Mitch) and are busier than ever.

Erica Mercer returned to My Tech Guys as soon as she got back to the Comox Valley. She brings the same passion and interpersonal skills many remember from when she worked for us before at the Comox store.

Mitch comes to us from Calgary, where he spent the past nine years at the Apple Store as a Senior Mac Genius; he brings a wealth of Apple knowledge as well as outstanding customer service.

Come celebrate with us all day this Friday at our Courtenay location. We will be serving hot dogs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and there will be prizes, coffee and Timbits throughout the day.

For more information, go to mytechguys.ca. This year we will be taking donations for Project Watershed’s project to unpave paradise and restore the former Field Sawmill Site - Kus-kus-sum. We will have Project Watershed folks on hand for part of the day to help explain the project and show how you can help.

For more information on the Kus-kus-sum project go to kuskussum.ca.
