Brent Road to be closed for Comox Valley Regional District sewer construction

Brent Road in the Lazo area will be closed for four weeks starting on Aug. 6 for construction on the Comox Valley Regional District sewer conveyance upgrades.

Preparation for the work begins on July 31, and the road closure starts one week after that. All construction work will occur during the hours of 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

A detour route along Curtis Road, through a the fire gate and along the maintenance access road on the attached map will be clearly signed. Traffic control personnel will also be present on the detour route.

"Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly and to anticipate additional travel time during the closure period," a release from the regional district says. "The cooperation and patience of the public are greatly appreciated as we work to enhance the sewer system infrastructure of our community."
