The BC United has their man for the Courtenay-Comox riding: Bill Coltart.
A lifelong resident of the Comox Valley, Coltart brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted commitment to public service.
Coltart has served British Columbians for 30 years as a paramedic with the British Columbia Ambulance Service, both in the Comox Valley and in Metro Vancouver. His dedication to helping others and his intimate understanding of the health-care system uniquely position him to advocate for improved health-care services across the province.
Beyond his service as a paramedic, Coltart is also an entrepreneur, having started his first business at the age of 21. Alongside his wife, he continues to operate successful small businesses serving the tourism, marine, and real estate sectors, contributing to the economic vitality of the Comox Valley.
“Bill Coltart’s extensive experience in health care, entrepreneurship, and international humanitarian work makes him an exceptional candidate to represent Courtenay-Comox,” said Kevin Falcon, leader of BC United. “His passion for service and first-hand experience in the health-care system as a paramedic, will make him an invaluable asset to BC United’s team as we work fix the crises in health care, cost-of- living and public safety that have been ignored by the NDP.”
“I am honoured to be BC United’s candidate for Courtenay-Comox,” said Coltart. “My lifelong commitment to serving others, coupled with my diverse experience in health care, business, and humanitarian work, positions me well to represent the interests of our community. I look forward to working tirelessly to address the pressing issues facing Courtenay-Comox residents and to advocating for policies to fix the issues facing our residents each and every day.”
Coltart will be vying for the seat currently held by NDP MLA Ronna-Rae Leonard, who has yet to announce whether she will seek re-election.
As BC United continues to prepare for the upcoming election, the party reaffirms its commitment to offering candidates who reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of British Columbians, while continuing to attract high-calibre candidates united by the commitment to build a better future for the next generation.
