From the Comox Valley and beyond, bikers are rallying together to ride and raise through the end of August in support of YANA and the local families they support.

You Are Not Alone (YANA) is a registered local charity dedicated to providing travel expense funding and accommodation for families in need of travel outside the community to access medical care for a child under 19 years old or an expectant mother.

Sometimes a family may need to travel a short distance, and sometimes their trip may take them hundreds of kilometres from home. Whether they need to make a day trip for an appointment, or the treatment they need keeps them away for months at a time, financial, logistic, and emotional assistance are a phone call away. The community's support through events like the Comox Bike Co YANA Ride empowers YANA to say yes to those in need. 

Last year aloneYANA provided over $300,000 in direct funding and accommodation support to the families of 200 clients for 400 medical trips. The more pledges raised throughout the ride, the more families YANA can help when they need it most. 

So register, ride and raise for the 2024 Comox Bike Co YANA Ride. Reunite to support the cause at the Party in the Park on Sunday, Aug. 18. The event is by donation and runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Comox Marina Park.

Enjoy live music from local bands and DJs, along with activities for all, including bouncy castles, face painting, giant yard games and a 'Little Wheelers' track. Savour delicious seaside snacks, visit the beer garden, bid in the silent auction and try your luck with the golf ball drop, 50/50 draw and Air Canada raffle.
