It鈥檚 officially the dog days of summer and that can only mean one thing: It鈥檚 time for !

Join the Woofy鈥檚 team at their Courtenay location from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 15 for a pet-friendly afternoon of shopping, games and activities.

You鈥檒l also find more than 30 vendors from across Canada and the United States, including some notable Canadian brands like Canadian Naturals, First Mate, Champion, Petcurean and Bold by Nature.

鈥淲e鈥檙e excited to be back for our 15th year,鈥� says Virginia Shaw, Marketing Manager at Woofy鈥檚 by Paw Street Market. 鈥淲e鈥檙e welcoming back a lot of familiar vendors and some exciting new faces. We鈥檝e also planned a few special activities for this year鈥檚 sale.鈥�

BYOD 鈥� Bring your Own Dog 鈥� and kids!

鈥淲e鈥檒l have a bouncy castle and cotton candy for families to enjoy,鈥� Shaw says. 鈥淲e鈥檝e also organized some special 鈥楧og Games鈥� to keep the four-legged kids busy as well.鈥�

Taking inspiration from country fair-style kids鈥� games, dogs and their owners can try bobbing for tennis balls, and win prizes.

One of Woofy鈥檚 own team members, Kenzie Morrow, will also be offering pet portraits, and Jet FM Radio will be there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

More of a cat person? , a local rescue and litter prevention organization, will also be at this year鈥檚 event with education and adoption information.

Pawtastic prizes, discounts and samples

While the entire event is a barking good time, some of the main draws are the sales, samples and discounts!

鈥淭his year is a special one for Woofy鈥檚 as we鈥檙e also celebrating our 40th anniversary,鈥� Shaw says. 鈥淎ttendees can look forward to some of the best deals and sales that we鈥檝e ever had.鈥�

Can鈥檛 make the Barking Lot Sale? From July 15 to 28, Woofy鈥檚 will have special advertised sales at all four of their Island locations and a special in-store-only contest to win one of three prize packs featuring a Weber barbecue, a Yeti cooler or Fromm pet food for a year.
