As the leaves turn golden and the air gets crisp, there’s no better time to explore the incredible flavours of Vancouver Island. This fall, the invites you on a culinary adventure from Campbell River to Cowichan, celebrating the heart and soul of local dining.

Running from Oct. 18 to Nov. 10, the Island Taste Trail is your chance to discover why so many locals and visitors rave about the Island’s food scene. This year, it’s all about one thing – delicious pairings that celebrate our local bounty!

Participating restaurants, cafés, wineries and breweries are crafting unique pairings of food and beverages that highlight local ingredients and products. Here in the Comox Valley, more than 30 options are featured, ranging from delectable treats and lighter lunches to elegant dinners, all crafted with the Island in mind.

For something a little lighter to fuel your adventures, explore options like breakfast at Tidal Café in Comox featuring their delicious cinnamon roll pancakes, served with 32 Lakes locally roasted beans or a spiked hot apple pie cider. At Honey Grove Bakery in Courtenay, indulge in a pumpkin pie croissant and hot chocolate bomb from Cumberland’s Dark Sides Chocolate, or head west to Laneway Coffee & Kitchen in Cumberland for savoury Island Taste Trail treat: warm potato salad, featuring roasted local potatoes from Siefferts farm, Hertel’s bacon, sharp cheddar, shaved apple, garlic aioli and crispy shallots.

For dinner, Locals at The Old House in Courtenay is cooking up delicious West Coast mussels or Manila clams from Cortes Island while Off the Hook in Comox has created a shared seafood platter for two, paired with two glasses of Land and Sea Brewing’s Comexico.
