Here’s your chance to tee up on one of the Valley’s top golf courses to make a difference in the lives of local children and families.
The Boys and Girls Club of the Central Vancouver Island Golf Tournament at Crown Isle Resort is set to go on June 1. It’s one of two fundraisers supported by Courtney-Anglin Real Estate Group’s Bill Anglin and Michele Courtney, who sponsor both the golf tourney and the May 25 Variety Children’s Radiothon.
“Investing in kids is investing in community,” says Anglin, also active on the boards of St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, the Sid Williams Theatre and United Way.
Events like these are what makes the Comox Valley the unique place it is.
“It’s the sense of community – it’s a big town with a small town feel, and it’s a great place to raise a family,” adds Courtney, also a local Rotarian.
