December is in full swing and Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community in Courtenay has embraced the Christmas season.
With the offering an awe-inspiring winter wonderland for visitors and residents alike, and the Gingerbread Village on display in the festively decorated Crown Isle lobby, excitement is building for the inaugural , happening Sunday, Dec. 15 from 2 to 8 p.m. in the clubhouse.
鈥淲e鈥檒l have more than 30 vendors, with products ranging from jewellery and pottery to clothing for adults and children, soaps, candles, pottery and more,鈥� says Crown Isle marketing manager Kristy Pedersen. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a perfect place to find unique Christmas gift ideas for special people in your life.鈥�
Great response requires expansion
The number of vendors prompted Crown Isle to add space for the market, Pedersen says. Discover numerous products on display in the ballroom, then head upstairs to the Copper Room to experience even more gift options. No time for Christmas baking? You鈥檒l find plenty of choices, as well as an opportunity to try 鈥渟hrubs,鈥� a fresh-fruit and vinegar beverage that makes a flavourful ingredient for cocktails or salad dressings.
Sunday funday at the Resort
Want to make an evening of it? Build a trip through the colourful Resort Walk and Christmas Tree Trail 鈥� open from 5 to 8 p.m. 鈥� into your time at the market. And don鈥檛 forget to bid on the amazing gingerbread creations and gift baskets on display in the lobby. Bids will be accepted up to Dec. 18.
N.Y.-N.Y. party on tap
While the resort鈥檚 Breakfast with Santa and Christmas Day dinner sold out quickly, there鈥檚 still room at the .
