Since opening its doors in 2015, Galaxy Motors Courtenay has become a familiar name to most Comox Valley drivers; after all, it’s one of the largest used car and truck dealerships on Vancouver Island!

But did you also know they’ve kicked off spring 2023 with a brand new sales management team?

“I moved here from our Victoria Galaxy Motors location in March, and I’m very excited to be here serving the Comox Valley community,” says new General Sales Manager, Jay Wilson, who has 12 years in the automotive industry under his belt. After starting off on the sales floor, Wilson also has several years of experience as a credit specialist and sales manager.

Born-and-raised in the Cowichan Valley, Wilson says he loves Vancouver Island, and because he’s into all things off-road motorsports, he felt drawn to the many outdoor opportunities the area holds.

“I love anything outdoors and off-road, including Jeep Wranglers, quads and boats, which is a big part of the reason I moved to the Comox Valley,” Wilson says.

Wilson truly enjoys being a part of the Courtenay team, and looks forward to participating in the dealerships many community initiatives.

“It’s great being part of B.C.’s largest used-vehicle sales business, but I’m also a big community involvement guy,” Wilson says. “Our CAO Amy Jones is very good at finding something new each month to support in the Comox Valley community.”

Also new to the Galaxy Motors Courtenay team this spring is Sales Manager Don Harrison, who brings 15 years in the auto industry.

“Don is very much a ‘people person,’ who always has a smile on his face,” Wilson says. “Our customers love dealing with him because he makes them feel like they’re part of the family, which is one of the reasons I brought him on board.”

A family man with three children, Harrison was born-and-raised in the Comox Valley, and like Wilson, is also a big Jeep Wrangler enthusiast.

“We’re a brand new team, and we’re excited to be a part of the community,” Wilson says. “We also look forward to helping our customers find the right used-vehicle, and to providing the best service possible.”
