Adaptive paddle boarding offered in Comox Valley

Thanks to the generous donation from Variety Children’s Charity and in conjunction with the Wachiay Friendship Centre, SUP4ALL is pleased to announce it will be offering adaptive stand up paddle boarding in the Comox Valley. Using this donation, SUP4ALL has purchased adaptive paddle boards, support equipment and life jackets.

The Comox Valley Jets AA Mosquito ball team placed second at provincials. The team, coached by Rob McDowell, Matt Baggaley and Blair Grinde, qualified by coming in first with straight wins at the AA Mosquito Zones hosted locally. They did not know what to expect at provincials where there were 10 teams from around B.C.

Mount Washington hosted the fifth Frontrunners Coastline Endurance Vancouver Island Trail Racing Series race, Aug. 12, with an eight-kilometre short course and a 14km long course. To the delight of runners and race organizers, the smoke from the B.C. Interior fires cleared off the morning of the race to provide fantastic views for the 150 runners who took up the challenge of what is likely the toughest of the race series.
