While some were enjoying their free time between Christmas and New Year鈥檚 Day in the warm comfort of their homes, one man from Comox Valley braved the elements.
As tempestuous weather swept across Vancouver Island, kiteboarder Brian Muir geared up and headed to Goose Spit Park to make the most of this rainy Dec. 27.
With sustained southeastern winds of 41 km/h and gusts reaching 55 km/h, the adrenaline seeker could be seen soaring more than a dozen feet in the air on several occasions.
