After several days of investigation, the Comox Valley RCMP confirm an arrest has been made in relation to the robbery at the Union Bay Credit Union that occurred on Aug. 30.
The Comox Valley RCMP would like to thank the residents of Union Bay who assisted the police with reporting suspicious tips into the detachment. Crown counsel is being consulted in regards to the specific charges.
At this time, the Comox Valley RCMP believe the Union Bay Credit Union robbery and the Buckley Bay robbery, which occurred on Aug. 27, are not connected. The investigation into the Buckley Bay robbery is continuing.
